Divine sea breeze stirs the reeds,
Sunlight tills the gentle hills.
Seeping down beneath the ground,
A single ray bringing light of day.
The spirit of the mine comes online,
Stitching coal to air; a life affair.

No bell tolls louder, truth of power,
Victory of man over nature’s plan,
Victory of mind over monster-kind;
The intraluminal foe trembles so,
In flight from Leukos’s rabid bite.
