​You have elected to depart to Elysian pastures,
And now we must mourn our elusive raptures.
Your elaborate elegance shall likewise take wing,
Oh, most electric bearer of a power-ring.
Most in your element when eloquent song rises,
To entertain you employ all eligible devices.
Uncontested Elvis of our laboratory tribe,
In your celebration these words I inscribe.
May you find your El Dorado swiftly,
Under the watchful eyes of Our Lady.
